Frequently Asked Questions
Mandatory Grip Socks
FULL FOOTED GRIP SOCKS are mandatory for every booking, with NO EXCEPTION. No Open toe Grip Socks are acceptable for hygiene and safety, as no part of the bottom of any client’s foot should touch the equipment or the floors.
Direct bookings are informed in the class description and booking confirmation emails. Classpassers are informed in class descriptions, Studio policies, and “How to Prepare”. Gympassers are informed in class descriptions and “Important Info”.
Please bring your own or you will need to purchase for $16 via Venmo or Zelle, or $15 cash. We can take a credit card if absolutely necessary. Monthly members can purchase grip socks for $12 as a member perk.
Please note, life is too short to argue about socks, when we have gone above and beyond to inform you in advance, so if you refuse to purchase or argue with any staff member about this policy, we will late cancel your reservation.
cancellation policies and expirations
Clients must cancel 12 hours in advance for classes and 24 hours in advance for private bookings in order to have the credit returned.
Clients who cancel 4 hours or less prior to the class start time, will also incur a late cancel fee. Cost of the fee will be dependent on the membership used and is stated in the membership description at purchase. Monthly membership will include some exceptions to late cancel fees. Monthly Membership Terms can be found here.
If you book on Classpass or Gympass, we cannot cancel or change your reservation, and you will need to contact them directly for any modifications. Please note, that if you incur a Late cancel fee from Classpass, we do not receive any portion or profit from it. Like our clients who book directly, clients who book on third parties, are only checked in if they attend their reservation.
We are not Costco and we do not give discounts for buying in bulk, but we do offer discounted packages based on frequency, which is why we adhere to expirations.
We are happy to extend an expiration for packages if a new package is purchased. The expired classes will be extended to the expiration of the new package. * This does not apply to any monthly or unlimited membership purchases.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
waitlist policy
When you add yourself to waitlist, please act as if you are attending class, as you may get into class up to an hour before class start time.
If you haven’t gotten into class and would no longer like to attend class, please remove yourself from the waitlist online or via the momence app.
Please note that if you get into a class you were waitlisted for, the same cancellation policy above will apply.
entry and 5 minute late lockout for classes
Clients all receive access codes for building entry in their booking reservations, “How to Get There” in Classpass, and “Important Info” in Gympass. New Clients should check their email to sign a liability form, which should be sent 15 minutes before class start time. Clients need to be at the studio, not just the building, by 5 minutes past class start time, or they will be locked out of class.
Please take the stairs in Williamsburg to the second floor, as the elevator is very slow.
injuries and other SPecial Needs
Private bookings are completely catered to each client’s specific needs and any injuries. If you have special needs, please message us to book you first private session, so we can pair you with the best instructor for YOU!
Semi-Private classes have a private prerequisite, where clients are evaluated to see if they are ready for class, while noting injuries. These classes are great options for clients that have modifiable limitations and clients will receive specific cueing for these injuries throughout class.
Spring and Suspend classes allow for some general modifications, but if you need to avoid planking, squats, flexion, or need multiple modifications throughout class, this is not the best choice for you.

tontito, our studio dog
Tontito is usually at the studio when Kristen, the founder is scheduled. Please do not sign up for her classes if you do not like dogs or have an allergy. He’s friendly and affectionate. We rarely let other dogs in the studio, so please do not bring your dog to the studio, unless you have received permission in advance.
